Snow is falling here in Washington State As I write this, watching the 1st of the playoff games, it is snowing on and off outside. The outside temerature is a little above freezing so it won't stay on the ground for long. There is an artic cold front moving south from Canada and a storm off the coast which the jet stream is pushing toward Oregon and that means we get some snow here instead of rain. It snowed last week and I had several inches on the ground where I live. In preparation a few days ago, I hit up the grocery store for beer and munchies just in case we got snowed in for a while. I learned how to drive in snow and ice in Illinois where I grew up, so I have no problems here when the weather turns bad, but the inexperienced drivers here are dangerous. I don't know how many 4 wheelers go off the road because they just don't know 4 wheel drive does not help when it comes to brakes. Stupid is as stupid does. A friend of mine works for a towing company and he tells me stories. He gets a lot of overtime when it snows. Like me, he learned to drive on ice and snow in winter. So, time to pop a top and settle in and watch the game...
