Movie - Bram Stoker's Dracula I saw this movie recently, and there are only two things I can say. First, the special effects are excellent. Second, Keanu Reeves in totally unbelieveable in his role in the film. I can't help it. I can't take Reeves seriously. He used the same style of speaking in this movie as he did in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, but with an obviously fake English accent. Compare the way he speaks with the way Anthony Hopkins does in this movie and you will hear the obvious difference as I did. I half expected him to say "dude" or "excellent" in every sentence. The niftiest part of the special effects I didn't notice right away, Dracula's shadow... it only follows Dracula part of the time. Look for it, in case you didn't notice before, the next time you see the movie. This is a highly visual movie, with long periods of little or no dialog, just sound effects and background music. Oh, and Winona Ryder (of shoplifting fame recently) needs to gain some weight. She is just too thin and it shows in her face. She looks half-starved.
