I love this, kids trying to look "cool" and the way they try to do it. I was in the local mall today, and I wondered why it is that people can't wear hats like they are supposed to be worn. The bill goes in front, stupid, not the side, not the back. What really gets me are the ones who turn it to the side, so what's up with that? I fail to see any purpose. The bill shades your eyes, or when I use my camera, I turn my hat backwards so I don't lose it and the bill does not get in the way of using the eyepiece on the camera. Turning it around when I use my camera means I don't have to find someplace to put it while I work the camera. I turn it back when I am through. So what do these people achieve by turning it sideways? It doesn't fit that way! It is an oval shape for a reason so it only fits frontwards or backwards, and backwards, the shape of the top makes it fit badly that way as well. I have been tempted to walk up to some of these people and say something like, "hey, your hat is on sideways" just to see what kind of reaction I will get. What would they do when I state the obvious? The same goes for pants and these guys who wear them down low, really low, and too big. I want to toss a quarter into the butt crack just to see if they notice. I wonder how often they trip over themselves because their pants are almost down around their knees. I see they also have untied shoelaces which drag all over and I've even see some trip over the laces, but they still don't tie them. And then there is the language I overhear from time to time and I wonder what the purpose is for the foul language. It seems they can't speak a single sentence without expletives. Is this supposed to shock me? What I hear is tame compared to what I heard (and sometimes used myself) in an engineroom in a submarine at sea. What are kids coming to these days? Oh, another item, tattoos. I have seen some of these kids with the strangest tattoos, in plain sight, like on their face. In a few years, I wonder what a job interviewer will think when this display walks in for a job. I saw a guy who had F-U-C-K down his nose from the bridge to the tip. I wished I had a camera so I could share this sight, but alas, I did not have my camera with me. I usually carry a camera around just in case something appears in front of me which should be immortalized by being frozen in time. Cameras are time machines of a sort, but they only work one way, by freezing a moment in time. It is a cool concept if you can wrap you mind around it. So, why do these kids do this wierd thing with clothes and attitude? I, for one, really do not pay much attention except for my curiousity which prompts me to stare for a bit. I still wonder about this guy with F-U-C-K tattooed on his nose and what will happen to him in a few years as a result. I suppose he will try to get it removed when he finds out the people who will control his job placement will not exactly take kindly to what is in the center of his face for all to see and read. I imagine that when he got this tattooed on his nose, that it was quite painful and in the years to come will have a negative effect which will cause even more pain, but of a different sort. This, dear reader, is a prime example of what I can only term, stupidity.
