The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Joe Millionaire, blah, blah, blah, ad nauseum
I watched another promo for another of these "falling in love" reality TV shows, this time another Joe Millionaire scenario, but this time in Europe, where evidently, the original was not shown, so no one knows the premise. In case you do not know already, on Joe Millionaire, the guy really has no money and is a "blue collar" worker, but they play it like he does have a bunch of money, thus fooling all of the women all along the line. He plays a part. This is just so sad. What do people see in this type of thing? It isn't very nice. I think it is just in poor taste. I can see Survivor because at least, that has some measure of challenge and the people are really who they are. I have watched a couple of episodes from time to time out of curiousity, and I just don't get why these shows are so popular. Can someone explain this to me, this attraction for this type of reality TV? I wonder about one thing, the women on the Joe Millionaire programs, why do these women do this? I would like the opportunity to talk with one or more and ask them really, why they did this.
