It is HOT in here!
It is about 9 at night, and it is still over 90 degrees F in the living room. I've got all of the windows open and the attic fan on high and it is NOT cooling off! Western Washington State is in the midst of unseasonably warm weather and it will likely go on for a few more days. Sigh. I really get irritable when I get too warm and I am in a foul mood at the moment. Fortunately, I live alone so there is no one else around to be on the receiving end of my irritability! The same thing happens when I get cold. At least, I can put on a sweater if I am cold, but here I am, sweating and I can't take my skin off. I have a small fan blowing on me where I sit, but all it seems to be doing is move the hot air around. This reminds me of nights I spent in the Phillipines when I was in the Navy. At least there, it rained once in a while to cool things off once in a while, like every day almost. I tried a water spray bottle and that helped for a bit. How do you handle the heat? I have several plastic bottles I put in the freezer. I freeze them half full, and then add water on top of the ice and I have cold water for several hours. I carry it around in an insulated bag so it does not melt quite so fast. So, I sure hope it cools off or I'll have trouble sleeping, like I did last night, because of the heat.
