Automobile commercials are the most bizarre things to see, sometimes. They sometimes assume the viewer is incredibly stupid. You know the ones I mean, the ones where you see a car skidding across the screen. Skidding? What is the point of that? Is that supposed to impress me with how safe this particular car is, with it skidding and spinning down the road? And then they say the usual disclaimer, "closed course, professional driver. Do not try this." So, how is it that this is supposed to sell me on the idea of buying this particular car? What is their reasoning in showing a car skidding and spinning in an ad to sell me this particular car? Obviously, if it is spinning and skidding, it can easily get out of control and needs a "professional" driver to get it back under control! Do these people really think I will buy a car based on this stupid concept of advertising? The advertising people must think the viewer people are incredibly stupid. I do not think I want to know the people who would buy a car after seeing it skid across the screen in a commercial. Think about it.
